We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be going back. The level of detail in the quality of the gite was exceptional, and the hosts could not have been nicer or more welcoming. From the moment you enter the property, you feel entirely private - we enjoyed such peace and tranquillity. The gite is very well equipped to a high standard and if something’s missing, it’s never too much trouble for it to be provided. The bedrooms were very comfortable – and the beds are lovely and spacious. Given the stonework, it was cool even on the hottest of days. But even if we did get too hot – the pool was fantastic and a great size. The grounds are even more impressive, and we enjoyed badminton on the lawn, table tennis and lovely evening meals watching the sunset. This is genuinely such a wonderful find in such a beautiful, quiet location. And Malika and Nigel are great hosts – welcomed us in and wished us well on check out. Magnificent ! A very pleasant stay at the Ptit Manoir des Miroirs ! Malika and her husband are very kind and discreet. The gîte and setting are truly magnificent, and the environment couldn’t be calmer ! The gîte is spacious and the bedding very comfortable. The kitchen is very well-equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, dishes and appliances. A high chair and travel cot are available for the little ones. Numerous outdoor games, as well as board games and books are available ! The swimming pool very much appreciated in coping with the intense summer heat. The outdoor dining area (with barbecue) is lit with lovely fairy lights helping to fully profit from, and enjoy, the mild evenings. Everything has been thought through to make you feel as much at home as possible. If we have the opportunity, we will definitely come back to stay at this magnificent little manor ! We had a wonderful week at this gorgeous gite in the heart of the Charente region. The house has been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. And each room has been furnished with every little detail. The kitchen was full stocked with lovely crockery and complete with brand new oven , washing machine and dishwasher. The living room and kitchen was a fantastic open space for us all. The beds were extremely comfortable and all the bathrooms had lovely showers. Each bedroom had plenty of storage. The house was delightfully cool becaise of the stone and insulation regardless of how hot it was outside. The garden space was massive and had everything you could want and was private too being enclosed by a line of trees. We have teenage boys and they loved the space , the badminton , croquet , pétanque and of course the swimming pool - where we spent most of our days. The outside eating area and BBQ were lit with lights which was very pretty. Fantastic ! Our stay began with a warm welcome from Malika and her family. We felt at home straight away ! We were hoping for somewhere that offered a chance to relax in a tranquil setting, whilst also providing enough to keep our children entertained. We were not disappointed. It is clear that a lot of love and attention has been put into creating a beautiful and spacious holiday cottage that is both comfortable and also practical, with a well-equipped kitchen, board games and outdoor activities. We would very much like to stay again in the future, though it is unlikely that this treasure will stay a secret for much longer.
